Hi there, I am wondering if any1 knows what sort of searches the NHS carry out before offering employment? I do currently work for the NHS but am hoping to get a new, better paid job. Nothing to do with finance..! Im just wondering if I were to be offered the post if they would find out about my TD?

Hi Nemo1.

I don't have a specific answer for you.

We have however assisted a great many NHS employees over time that have gone on to start trust deeds. We've not heard from them that there has been any specific contractual concern.

I would be very surprised if it caused you any problem - I don't believe they do credit checks as a matter of course in the NHS.

Hi Nemo1

Is the new job you are hoping for with your current Heatlh Board or will it mean changing employers? If it is with same HB, not a problem. If it is with another HB their HR Dept may run basic check to prove you are who you say you are but that is all. I'm a manager in the NHS and I know several staff with a PTD and it's never caused a problem.

Good luck with the job.

Hi,
As an NHS employee myself, and having recently changed jobs within the NHS I would be assured that you have nothing to worry about !!

I take it half us NHS staff are in financial difficulties!!!!!

The wife and I both work for the NHS,think maybe we all need a big PAY RISE!!!!!

Actually I would settle for any pay rise, mine has gone down due to changes in unsocial working rates/hours.

But at least its a job!

Paul

Trust deed completed Jan 2012,Trustee discharge Nov 2012.
A new dawn.
