Well apparently my last creditor has cashed their cheque and my Trustee is now in a position to submit their paperwork to the AIB to apply for both their own and my discharge. Now call me cynical but I will believe this when I see this. I'm hoping that by 30th April 2013 it will be done and dusted as this will be exactly 5 years since my 3 year Trust Deed became protected......

My question tonight, when they tell me that they are in a position to discharge themselves how long is a reasonable time to wait to expect them to have sent the paperwork to the AIB and for the AIB to have processed it and updated the register? I'm checking the register at least once a day, am fighting the urge to check it once an hour [:I]

The aib are quite quick to update the records but can only do so when asked to. It really shouldnt be longer than a couple of weeks.

Great news. The end really is in sight.

As stated, the ROI should be updated within a couple of weeks, although it depends how busy the AIB are.

I would certainly keep on at your trustee to ensure the documents have actually been sent!
