Trust deed finished 2 years ago and discharged a year ago.
Now i am currently looking for a mortgage and had a mortgage in principal arranged however don't want to proceed incase i get to final stages and it is then rejected.
Is there anyway i can make sure it will not be rejected at the final stage?

Hi gk1982

Generally, no. Each lender uses different criteria, so unfortunately it's impossible to pre judge their decision.

Hi gk1982.

Our "Life After a Trust Deed" page has some more information on this subject that I hope might be useful for you. You'll find it on the main menu to the left of this page.

Has the lender not already done a credit check at the decision in principle stage?

I'd have thought the best way of limiting any risk would be to be completely up front with them and specifically seek their reassurance that your having been in a trust deed will not constitute a problem.
