Having had my trust deed achieve protected status, can my creditors still take legal action against me for non-payment of debts owed to them.

The reason I ask is that I am still receiving automated phone calls from one of my creditors. After receiving one such call, I emailed this company and advised them of my trust deed and also said that should I continue to receive these phone calls that I would be raising a formal complaint against them.

I received a return email from this company saying

Thank You for the information!

All the overdue charges and interest will be added until full repayment.

Please log in to our account and use the repayment possibility 24/7.

Legal action will be started against You on the 90th day overdue!

I would be grateful if any of the experts can advise me if this company can continue to contact me like this despite the fact the I am now in a trust deed or should I make the formal complaint that I mentioned.

Thanks

Hi gresgow

This is another question that, looking at all potentials, could take all night to answer. But the answer is no.

I say at every meeting that it's the unknown that's the killer, but trust me you will be 100% fine. The calls are a pain but nothing more than a bug. Sometimes it takes a wee while for things to finally filter through to creditors.

Have a fab weekend.
