I have received a letter from the trust deed company 10 months ago saying my last payment due on 1st of April 2016.I have made my last payment on last week. What do I need to do next ..I mean do I need to contact with the trust deed company or Do I need to cancel my standing order or just leave it?Please advice..
Thank you..

Hi nano1019.

I'd just call/email your trustee, check your final payment has been made, then cancel the standing order.

Congratulations on reaching the very final stages.

Hi nano1019,

Well done on reaching this point and successfully completing your Trust Deed.

As TDA has advised your best to contact your Trustee to confirm the final payment and that you can cancel the standing order. You also need to ask them how long it will take for them to send your Form 5 certificate of discharge. This is effectively your full discharge from the Trust Deed and also your debts. To give you an idea, my firm Wylie Bisset try to provide this to a client within 4-6 weeks of their final payment.

Let us know how you get on.

Hi There

It's me again..I am sorry to ask your help again I am just wondering that I have rented out a flat and the agency did a credit check and my credit file was showing the discharge from trust deed. However I have got the flat I just do not know Is it a good or bad thing?I mean if my credit file already showing the discharge..
The other question would be ..How long the AIB hold my record?
I hope did not ask stupid things..

It's got to be better if your credit rating is showing a completed Trust Deed rather than one that isn't yet finished. I guess it may still cause you a few problems but that's great that you got the flat you were going for.

Hi nano

The AIB register will display your Trust Deed for one year after the Trustee has been discharged.

The Trust Deed will show on your credit reference file for six years from Signing Date.

Your individual credit accounts will display for six years from the date they have recorded. That date should match the Trust Deed signing date so all records fall off at the six year mark.

Hope that helps. Great news you got the flat!
