Just wanted to post after 3 years & 7 months I have finally just made my last payment to my trust deed, I can't quite believe this day is here. Its been a hard and tough lesson but so glad I enter it and would like to thank David Tannock from Wyllie and bissett for explaining everything and sorting out our trust deed way back in June 2010. I would defo recommended this company if you are thinking of a trust deed, very good firm and helpful.

I never thought I would see this day and remember coming on here and people like me leaving comments like this when I was only half way through. You will get there.

Now can't wait to get discharge etc and get my credit file back on track and life back to normal. Although don't really post do come on and the info from everyone has been invaluable. Never again will I get myself into a situation like this, been a huge learning curve and think I am much more appreciate of money etc now.

That's wonderful sharon21, congratulations to you.

It's also great to hear that David and his team have supported you so well through the process.

What do you plan to do with the extra money that you'll now have available?

Thanks TDA. With the extra cash for the next few months planing to still save and hopefully get a holiday then still put some of it away for rainy day, be nice not to stress and worry about every single penny we have.

I'm sure that a holiday will be very welcome and well-deserved sharon21.

Financial advisers often suggest that people try to save up 3 to 6 months salary in cash so that there is an emergency fund if something unexpected crops up.

I appreciate that this would take most of us quite a while to achieve but it must create a strong sense of reassurance once it's in place.

Hi Sharon,

Thanks very much for taking the time to post about your situation and for your kind words. I'm pleased I've been able to help you to this point and you have been happy with the service that we have delivered.

It's always good to hear from people who have completed a Trust Deed as it will give hope to others who are considering a Trust Deed or part way through one. As much as the Trust Deed provides debt relief I think it also helps someone to manage their household budget a little better because they don't have the option to fall back on credit.

I'm sure the extra money will come in handy per month. Enjoy it!

Can you get in contact with me sharon21 directly to discuss your case and your discharge.
