Wont do any harm to inform kpmg that they have a set time frame before you will escalate your complaint to the regulator!! Good luck.

Hi All
Received a letter this morning from the company in question saying that due to the importance of the issue I have raised they are seeking legal advice and will get back to me before 12 th April.
Why would a company the size they are need to get legal advice , surely they should know all legislation regarding trust deeds? Would be grateful for any advice.
Thanks.

I'm not sure scotland28, but I think it's a positive step that you have received a response and that the firm are taking steps to clarify their/your position.

Hi
KPMG were supposed to get back to me with an answer to my complaint by today.Surprise surprise no answer but in fairness they did phone with some lame excuse about their lawyers not getting back to them and asked for more time. That in itsself is bad enough but they were not prepared to say how long so I refused and informed them I was now taking my complaint to the next level I.e ICAS. Twenty minutes later she phoned back to say that I will have an answer by tomorrow or in the post to arrive no later than Saturday. So will update again Saturday.

Hi
Been a bit under the weather this week so have not been on the computer hence the reason for the delayed update.
Well KPMG did get back to me on Monday, not Saturday , but not with an answer oh no just more feeble excuses about their legal team not getting back to them. Then some drivel about me only having one creditor , bank of Scotland ,and as they are part of the lloyds group they do not challenge PPI claims. So this being the case if I inform them in writing that I was not mis-sold PPI this would speed my discharge.
How? It just seems like waffle to act as yet another delaying tactic! So I think another phone call is in order tomorrow.
Can't wait to hear what they have to say!
Will keep you posted.

The end is almost upon us , just come off the phone with a very nice lady at KPMG and she assures me discharge has been sent out so I should receive it early next week. I am a bit cautious though as they have let me down in the past, but I will give them the benefit of the doubt and keep my fingers crossed till next week. Here's hoping!

Having read all these posts it seems that you can be discharged if you signed after April 2008. Can anyone tell me what the position is if you signed before that ( We signed on 28th March 2008).My husband received his discharge letter but they won't send me one even tho' I finished paying on 1st August 2011.
When I called KPMG I have also had the run around, not returning my calls not sending letters when they have said they will and when I asked the girl how much longer this would take she got quite annoyed! I asked her what would happen if for instance someone in my family died and left me money and she told me that they would take it. Surely if you enter into an agreement like a TD the rules should apply to both sides equally and you should be discharged when the payments are completed. Are we all going to be kept in this situation for as long as KPMG decide.I too, feel like I was mis-sold a Trust Deed. Maybe this is the next thing that the Government should be looking into!

I understand everyone's frustrations, I am still waiting for my discharge from KPMG.I signed my PTD in September 2008,it ran for 3 years, I made my last payment in November 2011, and I cannot wait for it all to be over.

makes me laugh when i hear these adverts on the radio about being debt free in 36 months. 4 months after my last payment and still no discharge.
