Hi Angie, thats no good[:(] Hope you get things fixed. My biggest issue with KPMG has been lack of communication. Whenever I try and phone I get an answering machine. Leave a message and nobody phones you back. When you do speak to somebody, they seem unable to help and say they will get somebody to phone back (which they never do)

I think the onus is on you to retain the £10k as agreed, however there is a shared responsibility by the Trustee to safeguard the funds as soon as he has been appointed and am surprised that the transfer of the funds were not organised on the date the Trust Deed was signed.

fcwalker i feel your pain about the whole bad communication with kpmg.

I've been there and done it with KPMG. Obviously for totally different reasons than your own. But i found phone commuinication to be dreadfull.
My suggestion to you is to write a formal letter and send it recorded delivery to your trustee directly. His name should be on your trust deed paperwork or on any letter you have recieved from them in regards to your issue with the £10k and explain you have been trying to speak to someone at Kpmg but have failed on various occasions. Explain you wish to resolve the matter and request a formal meeting to speak directly about this matter. Give them the best time suitable for a meeting so there no waiting for responses back and forth.

Honestly you will get much further with a recorded delivery letter because you will have proof it was delivered to them, giving them the correct amount of time to correspond to you in regards to this urgent matter. Plus you will have everything in writing for any future correspondencce in regards to the matter at hand.

Angiepal hun i can't believe you are still waiting. Have you wrote to the trustee directly ?? if you have and recieved various responses and still feel your complaint has not been handled properley you can contact ICAS but you must show them that you have given kpmg the right amount of time to correspond to your complaint and resolve it or they will not take action i'm afraid. However if you do have proof of letter back and forth in regards to this you can provide them as proof to show you have given kpmg lots of time to deal with the complaint and to resolve it.

I am so sick of this company have been trying to get in touch to find out what the procedures are during the final months of my PTD but to no avail. Tried phoning, I've left messages too but nothing.

They are so quick to take over £300 out of my account every month but don't even have the common courtesy to return a phone call. Utterly deflated and very angry! [:(!]

Trust Deed started January 2010.
Finished January 2013.

I am now more than 18 months post completion and still have not been discharged for the same pip reason, does this mean that if I get a new job with higher pay the ip can ask me to contribute more?

Hi Greyman and welcome.

Presumably you're not making contributions any longer?

I didn't want to say what firm my TD was with in case anyone from here read these posts and it didn't my situation, but reading this post makes me cringe. I too am with KPMG and a summary for those who haven't heard my woes, my last payment was made in May 2011, and I'm still waiting to be discharged. There were several "misunderstandings" during my case which quite frankly has left me in as good a position before and after my TD. Yep thanks KMPG, nearly £ 10,000 in fees off me from my £ 24,000 in payments, you've done a brilliant job NOT. Good luck everyone, I'm beginning to wonder if they've actually got any staff in their office, as I've yet to hear of one person who is happy with their service [:(!]

No I an not making payments any longer, I finished making payments 18 months ago, still no discharge. I have the opportunity of new employment which comes with a significant salary increase and I'm worried that the IP may want more contributions from me.

Hi Greyman.

If your contributions are done they're done.

Good luck with your new job and with getting discharged soon.

Hi i am with kpmg as well and am looking for advice

i started a 4 year trust deed with them in october 2010 and due to some financial problems couldnt make my full £240 a month payments after a while and got my payments reduced to £161 a month with a letter for them stating my trust deed will continue until i make the equivalent of 48 x £240 payments which obviously equals £11,520. i am just about to write to them saying my contributions can go back to agreed £240 month again as my mortgage payments have reduced. I have phoned and got no respone i would like them to confirm when my trust deed wil now end if i continue to make payments of £240 each month.

will the money i have paid of around £2000 just come off the £11520 total and i just keep paying £240 until the payments i have made total this amount?

It certainly looks like that bboy001.

You may wish to write to your trustee for confirmation if you're struggling to get through on the phone.

thats great thanks

can i ask your advice on another couple of matters, reading through this topic i am horrified to see some peoples experiences with kpmg and recieving their discharge with mainly ppi claims holding it up

not long after starting my trust deed i was contacted by a company regarding ppi claims told them i was in a trust deed and they said i should claim anyway, all came back saying i didnt have ppi on my cards/loans etc should i bring this up with trustee and ask them to look into this matter now rather than wait until the end of my trust deed? i would hate to be in the position others are in and waiting months/years for discharge when they have made all their contributions

You can ask them bboy001.

Clearly starting the PPI process early on in a trust deed makes sense in terms of avoiding the risk of delays at the end.

thanks again, this forum is so useful for people like me that struggle to get answers anywhere else

last question i promise. My car goes in for its mot next month and think it needs a lot of work £500+, i need the car to get to work and back and obviously dont have money budgeted for that is there anything i could propose that my trustee would be happy with? i may be entitled to some money from the northern rock loan statement issue thats just broke, if i did recieve any money would my trustee allow me to keep some of it for something like this?
