Well, nearly at the end of January having successfully navigated through Christmas and New Year debt free and I still have some (not very much) money in the bank. How refreshing.
Hope everyone else is coping in this long month.[:o)]

We got paid early so its an age until end of feb to get paid again. Managing nicely though. No extra debt from xmas is nice.

I think January is always the worst month financially and due to the space between the pre Xmas pay and the pay at the end of January.

This was the first Christmas in about 10 years that I got paid before Christmas, got paid on 20th December. I thought back to when I used to get paid around that time before and the only answer was .... forget it was there until I was supposed to get it on 31st December. Didn't touch a penny of it, can't imagine what January would have been like if I had

Wylie Bisset paid their staff before the Christmas break and I tried to use the same approach as you saabrina trying to forget it was there until my normal pay date.

In our office our fridges are full most of the month with people making their lunch and bringing it in. On payday though it's almost empty as people have treated themselves to lunch.

January is a tough month for most people I think.
