Hi RYB
Sorry to come into this post so late, but I have been on holiday.

It would appear that you have no issues which are too concerning. From what you say, there should be no problem with your aseets, but make sure you get everything in writing. Make sure you get the valuation done before signing , then there will be no surprises. Some companies will charge a nominal sum (normally £500)to buy out the Trustee's interest in the property if there is no equity, some don't.
Your cars are perfectly safe as the others stated; by law any car worth les than £3,000 and required for work, is exempt from your Trust Deed.
Northern Rock will adjust your payment once your Trust Deed is all signed and protected.

The payments should be based on your normal earnings, but regular overtime will be take into account if a reasonable amount.

A Trust Deed sounds perfect for you, good luck with it.

A wee update, signed with Mark's company and should be in the Edinburgh Gazette today.

Big thanks to Mark & Maria, I would definitely recommend them to anyone especially for the time to explain everything and putting up with our many questions. Here is hoping the 5 weeks fly in now.

Thanks

Hi all,

Well 5 weeks were up on Friday and we found out that we had no objections 🙂
Despite a few companies not coming back it's been confirmed that we will now be protected and just waiting on written confirmation.

We have had a few letters and calls during this time, but we ignored them until we reached this stage. Now we will answer the calls with the confidence that the trust deed is protecting us and we can tell them this.

For anybody getting hassled by calls especially on a Mobile, you can get smartphone apps that allows you to block calls so your phone doesn't ring but you can still keep a log of who it was. We use Android phones and installed Call Control. It initially gives you a free trial but continued to work for free after I re-installed it. It was a lifesaver as I was getting up to 10 calls a day at one point which is not good when your at work.

Just want to say again a big thanks to Mark & Maria as they have been great throughout this, and with the first hurdle passing so smoothly we are confident the next 3 years and 34 payments will as well 🙂

Cheers

Congratulations RYB, it's great to hear that your trust deed has become protected as hoped for an expected.

Thanks for the suggestion about the smartphone app. I'm sure some other readers will find that useful.

Well done to Mark and his team for playing their part in getting you to this point.
