When did your Trust Deed become protected, laneymc1?

Your Trustee should be able to deal with this for you - if you haven't already, let them know that you re still getting hassled and ask them to get in touch with the creditors that are doing so.

Hi laneymc1

The beginning of a Trust Deed can feel like the worst part of it with the phone calls, letters and texts from your creditors chasing you for payments.

As Kevin has suggested you want to inform your relationship manager/Trustee about the creditors and constant pressure that they are putting on you. Once your Trust Deed becomes ÔÇ£protectedÔÇØ this means that legally creditors cannot do anything against you.

What normally happens is the Trustee will write and inform the creditor or their representative at the outset of a Trust Deed and assume that they will update their system and stop contacting you. If they are still contacting you but you don't inform your relationship manager/Trustee then they won't contact the creditors again and the pressure will continue.

Let your relationship manager/Trustee know of every creditor still contacting you and keep on at them to get it stopped.

Try not to feel down and stressed with it all. Things will start to calm down but only if you let your relationship manager know about the creditors still trying to contact you.

This is something your trustee should be dealing with and something which should have stopped by now. There are always individual creditors who take some time in updating the position regarding the trust deed, however this is normally few and far between as the vast majority of creditors are dealt with by 2 overseeing bodies who normally update the information on receipt.

We have an office in Ireland who deal specifically with creditors, so it's not normally an issue, however as mentioned before, this is something your trustee needs to deal with ASAP.

Hello.
I changed my phone number.
Just told friends and family, I was getting too much cold calling.
