As this year draws to an end got me thinking how much my life, has changed...started our TD July 2010, now half way there & for the first time in a long long time I feel able to look forward to the future !!
Having no money worries has to be 1 of the best feelings ever, dont get me wrong we struggle month to month, but there is light at the end of the tunnel, and more importantly - major & life long lessons have been learned !! All our married life (17 years) we have always had debt , be it loans or (several) credit cards each !!
I lost my Dad in the summer & know for a fact had the worry of debt still been hanging over us I wouldn't have coped as well as I did.
I would like to wish all my fellow TD'ers a very healthy & happy 2012, and hope the rest of our time flies in as quickly as so far !! And to all you contemplating a Trust Deed, once you've done your research & decided it's the right step, it will be the biggest relief honest....and believe me I am a mega worrier!!
Also a big thanks to the guys who run this site & offer invaluable help & support, keep up the food work in 2012, you really have no idea just how much you all help us !!!

Obviously its good work & not food work !! lol[:o)]
Hello boys1211.
I think we have all done a fair bit of food work in the last week!
Congratulations on reaching the halfway point in your trust deed. I'm glad that it has brought you positives over and above dealing with the debts.
Happy New Year to you as well.
Well done for getting over the hump in the trust deed, its downhill from here and the pace will pick up very quickly. Our last payment is due in 2 days time and I looked out some old paperwork a few days ago to remind myself what we were paying out to loans and credit card companies and cant believe I didnt notice the problem much sooner.
Its a hard lesson learned in this house I can tell you.

A new dawn.
You are so very right it is a hard lesson learned, but a valuable 1 also!
You must be so very happy that it's over !! I still count up the amounts we owed in my head (my mental arithmetic is fab thanks to debt!!), & it really is phenominal....nearly ยฃ100k of unsecured debt, and nothing really to show for it except worry lines & nearly the end of my marriage not to mention sanity !!
But onwards & upwards, we will NEVER find ourselves in such a dire situation again, & I really believe it has made me a stronger person !!
Good luck Psul...your debt free life begins, can't think of a better way to start a new year !!!
I reached the half way point in October this year and while I was really pleased when I realised how many payments I had made to my TD I still felt I had another mountain to climb when I thought about the next eighteen months.
I've got over that blip and share boys1211's sentiment that I can very cautiously start to look forward to the future. Well done on reaching your half way point boys1211 and all the best for the new year and a debt free future [:)]

It's great to hear you all sounding so positive about your finances. It may be a hard lesson to learn, but great that Trust Deeds have brought so many of you that 'light at the end of ten tunnell' that we all need. Well done to you all.
