Hi

I've just received my form 5! Is that it? Am I clear ? It says something at the bottom about that the debtor will be discharged from the trust deed the date their discharge is recorded in the register of insolvencys?

Best I wiat for that till I celebrate! ?

🙂

It might be registered there already sjm750!

Go to the Accountant in Bankruptcy's website and navigate from there to the "Register of Insolvencies".

You'll need to register for the Register (!) and can then run a search on your own name and address.

If your Form 5 shows on there you're discharged.

Let us know please - there might not be any need to wait at all!

Have you clicked into your own entry there sjm750?

If there Form 5 has been registered the date should be shown there.

There will be dates also for things that have happened previously during the process.

Just clicked on it! Last entry is date of debtors discharge 20/02/2015 but no date next to trustees discharge. I take it that's what I'm waiting for ?

Wow!! What a journey! Thanks for all your help over the years answering my questions! Now hopefully I can start re building my credit record. When will I expect to see satisfied next to my trust deed and creditors? Any other advice ! Thanks again.. Really appreciate all the help you've given 🙂

A pleasure sjm750.

I'd give it at least a month or two before you worry too much about your credit file.

Your creditors need a little time to be able to update the credit reference agencies as appropriate.

Those that do not will be the ones you'll want to concentrate on when the time comes.

Congratulations!

One step you may like to take is to do a Google search with your name and town.
Check if it shows your name and address and a record of your Trust Deed.
You may gave to try your trust deed formal name as well as the name you would use to try to find someone.

If the entry appears, depending on the source of the entry there will be actions you can take to have that removed in the future.

I believe there will be an article published here very soon to explain the background to this.

Onwards and Upwards!
