Hello all

Am in my final (hopefully) few months of trust deed due to end oct this year! [:D]
Myself and husband are desperate to own our first home and with the news of 95% mortgage and lower deposits has been great does anyone have experience of how quickly they were able to get a mortgage after a trust deed ? My Credit rating still isnt great at the moment cant seem to get anything still so am worried this could take years am 35 and feel this is out of reach
any advice tips would be greatly received

thanks [:)]

Hi lilone,

The simple answer is that the longer ago you have been discharged from your trust deed, the mortgage mortgage products are likely to be available to you. Also, the longer ago that you have been discharged the better value that any mortgage products available to you are likely to be.

When we lasted looked into this we could only find one small lender that would consider an application once somebody had been discharged for a year or more.

There were a few more that would consider applications once someone had been discharged for two years or more.

The mortgage market is constantly changing however, so it's impossible to predict what will or will not be available to you in the future.

You may find Section 8 in the following article useful:
