Contact them to clear this up sooner rather than later!! How much equity is there and how much were you asked to pay??

i was told the total was £3000 split £1500 at start and end . i thought the the td company were taking the payments before officially starting with the payments to td but when iasked about it i was told i had to pay it directly to them. i've never had that sort of money spare with trying to make all my payments to bills,td, mortgage and my wifes caras its not included in td and living costs etc

There will not be an allowance made to help cover this.

The payment would normally need to be made by a third party.

You'll need to check with your trustee whether the option remains open to you.

thank for the replies i have spoken to a friend who is willing to help but it would not be able to until roughly the time our td ends 2013 will that be acceptable. sorry tda i don't understand this part of the reply ...There will not be an allowance made to help cover this.?

The trustee would normally be quite happy with the payment at the end, I am sure this will be ok, but check to be sure.
I think what TDA means is that when the trustee calculated your spare income for a contribution, there would have been no allowance in your income and expenditure for you oaying the equity. Contributions and equity are treated as 2 separate issues.

again trustee clarified thing on this matter figure is a total of £2400 half has to be paid by nov 2012 (he says half should have been paid at some point during first 12 month)although due to not being informed correctly of this was okay about this year another weight of my shoulders thanks for the response on this matter tda , shona and plasticdaft
