Hi I'm in a trust deed and I am completely aware that if I was to receive a sudden wind fall or my salary was to increase (not likely working for the nhs:( ) that I would have to contribute more, as it should be as I take full responsibility for my debts. I just wondered if, in the months coming up to Xmas, I was to work an extra shift or so a month in order to try and get money for my kids Xmas, would this have to go towards the trust deed?

Hi fifi
I don't think the odd shift or two will make any difference.
It would need to be ongoing overtime or sizeable bonus.

Really this will depend completely on your own trust deed firms take on things. We were allowed to do overtime(nhs staff as well so wasnt anything massive),and were allowed to keep it all so best advice is to ask your trustee what will happen and get the response in writing(even an email would do),so there is no discrepancy down the line at review time.

I agree with the previous replies by Mark, plasticdaft and TDA. It would have to be a sizable amount of overtime or bonus for us to take it into consideration.
As plasticdaft said though, get something in writing to confirm this as different Trust Deed providers have different views on this.
