I've not actually entered a trust deed or filled in any forms as yet but I have been filling in an income and expenditure sheet to see what I can afford. I have debt of about £17500 but think I can only afford to pay between £100 - £150 a month but i'm worried this wouldn't be enough to get accepted. Most of this debt is to one company so they have the main say. I'm worried if this was not to get accepted where this will leave me.

Hi babyd12.

A good trust deed firm or debt adviser will be able to look at your specifics, including your income and expenditure, and give you an assessment of the viability of each of the debt solutions which appear to be available.

In terms of your major creditor, the acceptance criteria they use will almost certainly be known to a trust deeds provider.

There is also the option of extending the term of your trust deed if necessary, in which case what you can afford may be enough after all.
