Well 4 weeks after my last payment I have been discharged from my TD received an email from Kimberley at my TD company yesterday to say that I had been discharged and would get a letter confirming this, was at work when I opened it and went about with a big grin on my face the rest of the day, sure people thought I was even more nuts than normal. Went on AIB site this morning and it already shows as discharged. I am so glad I took the steps to enter the TD after seeking advice as now I can start afresh. To those who are going through the TD just now hang in there it does end. My thanks to all who contributed to this forum it has been a source of much support and in particular my TD company Wyllie Bisset who proved to be helpful and professional at all times and always friendly when you contacted them.
Congrats worriedmary on completing your TD. Good luck for the future.
Hi worriedmary,
Well done on successfully completing your Trust Deed.
I'm pleased to hear that you have been happy with the service we have provided and I'll pass on your positive feedback to Kimberley when she returns from annual leave.
I think the discharge process is an important question to ask when it comes to setting up a Trust Deed. As I've found out on the forum this can vary from firm to firm with some firms taking up to 6 months to discharge the individual. For us, we want to discharge the client as quickly as possible once they have paid all their agreed payments.
Best wishes for the future worriedmary. If you have any further questions or anything you need help with you can contact us.

Well done Worriedmary. I'm also discharged with it showing on ROI/AIB since Msy 2015. I have no written confirmation of this so wonder if any advisors can tell me if this is something I need to chase up or is it enough that it's on the ROI/AIB. Many thanks.

If it is on the Register of Insolvencies that you are discharged then it is official, regardless of whether you have anything in writing yourself.
However, it might be useful to have a copy of your discharge certificate (form 5) just in case any creditors contact you in future, so may be worthwhile requesting it.
Thanks Kevin.
