How long after form 5 discharge would it take the trustee to pay out dividends? it's so we can chase them up to clear up my husbands credit file to show zero balances.

From what others have said, it seems to vary. A lot can ride on whether or not they are pursuing PPI claims.

It took 14 months for my Trustee to close it off after discharge albeit they were pursuing PPI.

Hi trustdeed1.

Good news for you on this. No matter what any creditor is telling you, it's irrelevant whether or not the trustee has paid out dividends.

The Information Commissioner has told us that credit files should reflect the reality of a situation. The reality of your situation is that your husband has been discharged (therefore no money is owed by him) and his credit file should reflect that.

So... you can press the creditors to show zero balances now (and complain if they don't).

Hi JohnD

Just as TDA says, if you are discharged with Form 5, you should contact the creditors yourself. They are not automatically updated (from many experiences).

However, don't get too hung up on it, until 6 years has passed from start of Trust Deed, the TD will appear on your credit file and would over-ride any other zero balances.

I was very anxious to get mine cleared - as most people are. I could have waited until the sixth year and got them changed ready for Trust Deed to drop off. Mine are all due to drop off August / September this year.

Oh that's brilliant news, will get straight on to them then! No PPI involved, they checked all that out about a year ago or more. His are due to drop off Aug too as that will be 6yrs (extended due to equity ect).
