Hi there,
I have been in a trust deed for 3 years which was completed in February 2013. I received a letter from my IP to confirm I had completed my trust deed. Apparently, some 5/6 months later my creditors have still not received any dividend and some of the companies who were listed on my trust deed are still marking me as defaulting on payments. Can you advise if this sort of time delay is normal? And if there is any complaints process I can undertake to get this sorted out?
Thanks
Have you been discharged, 4654ae16? It is quite common for trustees to remain in office for some time after completion to tie up loose ends - in particular in connection with PPi claims. Do you know if this is the reason?
Yes I have been discharged in the respect of having made my last payment in February. I got a letter saying I had completed the TD from my IP. When I called up they were claiming the delay to be caused by VAT - I did not have any policies which had PPI on them. Is there anything else I can do to try and speed it up?
Hi 4654ae16
The VAT issue has been kicking about for a long tme and I would have expected most companies to have dealt with this well before now. Irrespective of this, there is nothing to stop the Trustee paying an interim dividend.

Thanks for the info Mark, is there anything I can do in the meantime to try to speed up the process?
I think the only option at this stage is to pester them to death ( seriously) Its amazing how quickly you'll jump to the top of the closure list.
If you look at the process, send you Form 5. Send the creditors form 6 & the 14 days later send ( you guessed it) Form 7 to the AIB to complete the whole process.
