Hi,

Wonder if anyone can help, I made my final payment on 27th September 09 and got a letter from IP stating that creditors had to 11th November to object, if no creditors do then they will be paid after this date. Any idea how long it will take for me to be discharged? I don't own a property of have any HP on a car (thankfully am not with Invocas/New Tomorrow either).

The problem I have is my car is going to fail it's MOT it needs a few hundred pounds worth of welding/plating done and I don't have that. I need a car to get to and from work and really don't know what I am going to do, that MOT runs out December 17th 2009 and I was hoping I would be discharged before then?

Also if anyone has any advice, if I am discharged in time, anyone know who would give me a loan for a car?

Any help appreciated.

Hello blacklily, and congratulations on completing your trust deed.

There is no reason it should take longer than a few weeks to be discharged, though this depends on how quickly your trustee gets on with things. It sounds as though they are on top of things though, so fingers crossed.

Hopefully other members might have some ideas about who to approach for the car finance. I'd be interested to find out how you get on so do let us know.

Best of luck

Well done on completing your obligations to the Trust Deed blacklily.

To add to Kevin's thoughts you might want to give your Trustee a call on Thursday to check that there have been no problems and also get their estimate of how long things will take from here.

Hi,

Thought I would let you know that applied with CreditPlus, Carloans4u and Infinity Finance, all said loaned to bad credit CCJ's etc and I was declined.

Aware that this will leave a footprint so will not apply for anymore. I think I knew this would be the case, my only avenue may be a guarantor loan and my Mum has oferred, unfortunately although she is a homeowner she is also retired and I don't think she has 'good credit' so not sure she will be accepted as a guarantor.

If I do have luck will post.

Thanks. I had another query, spoke to my IP yesterday and was told it will go through fine, will take 4-6 weeks for creditors to be paid and for my discharge letter to arrive. I am looking into leasing a car (non-status leasing) expensive but I think the only option. If I apply now am I breakign the terms of my TD? Should I wait till I get the discharge letter?

I don't think that will be a problem in terms of the Trust Deed blacklily.

Hi blacklilly, there should be no problem with the lease in terms of the Trust Deed.

Thought I would update, getting car leasing is not the best idea. Yourcarchoice said that they would accept me, they are not based on credit score and look at individuals personal circumstances. They want a 6 months deposit which would be ?ú1500 to get car delivered and ?ú200 per month for car which is a 18 month old Corsa. If I had ?ú1500 would just be buying a car and not bothering with credit!
