I've just looked over my paperwork from my trust deed.. The actual deed which has been signed and witnessed states that my TD will run from 3 years after signing and the paperwork sent to my creditors says 39 months after signing.. I always thought three years was 36 months. Does anyone know where I stand before I call. Don't want to come across as desperate.

Hi Robert

Sounds strange. I would certainly clarify matters with your Trustee.

I'd be pretty hopeful that this will not be a problem Robert. Perhaps a little time was added to the creditor correspondance to allow for the processes involved in bringing the trust deed to an end after the contributions were completed.

You don't happen to be paid 4-weekly? That would make 39 payments in 3 years.
Either way I am sure it can be sorted.

I am paid the last day of each month.. I've called several times now. And keep getting told the same thing.. "I'll get ... To call you back. She's on a call at the moment. I've made 36 payments and cleared the small arrears. On it. Don't want to be paying extra 3 month if I don't have to.

Hi Robert

It must be absolutely frustrating.

I can't understand why someone at the end of the phone can't look at the file, check and give you a straight answer. At a push, it would take 5 minutes of their time, but at least give you peace of mind to be able to move and plan forward.

Be persistent Robert.

At some point it will become easier to tell you the answer than to keep fobbing you off.

The answer was that my trust deed had to be extended to 39 months in order for it to be protected ad the trustees wouldn't accept 36.??? News to me.
