Hi All

Just looking a bit of advice (again!).

I pay for dental treatment that I receive but my work has a plan where I can claim the money back - do I need to tell my Trustee or as the sums are nominal will it be ok?

Thanks [:D]

Hi Neverendingstory.

Are you asking whether you need to tell your trust deed firm about any amounts that you reclaim for dental treatment via your employers scheme?

If so, and you are just replacing cash that you've paid out for the treatment, I'd be pretty sure that the answer would be "no".

Yes that's correct TDA.

Thanks for your, as always, swift response.

Looking attractive today Paul. Terrified of going to the dentist, never mind paying the bill!

My friend goes to a dental practice which trains final year students and gets all her dental treatment free. At a conservative estimate she's had about ยฃ3,000 worth of cosmetic dental work done (including a gold crown!) free of charge as well as all the essential stuff. Worth thinking about if you have a dental access centre in your area.

That's a great idea uncleben.

I think some people take advantage in similar ways with trainee hairdressers as well.

Perhaps trainee dentists and hairdressers will not be for everyone, but for the courageous it could be a great way to save some money!

I'm undergoing dental treatment at one of these centres just now and have nothing but praise. The students are very close to being qualified and there is a qualified dentist in attendance who checks everything that is done.

Have also been to a hairdressing academy in the past. Much cheaper rates and again, no problems.

We have a catering college nearby and you can get a slap up 3 course lunch for less than a tenner!!! The menu changes all the time so you can never get the same dish twice but its a decent price for what you get.

Hairy teeth Mark?

Anyone feel like sharing geography of their training houses for dental, hairdressing or culinary treats?
