Hi,

Just wondered if there will be a delay to my TD becoming protected due to xmas and New Year?? The date it should become protected is New years day. Ist bad enough having to wait all through xmas on tender hooks without an extra couple of weeks!!!

Also is it too early to see any objections on the Edinburgh Gazette website??

Thanks

Louise

Hi luby.

It's your trustee who will be able to tell you if there are any objections.

I'm not 100% sure what happens if the "protected date" falls on a public holiday. I doubt it can extend things by more than one working day though.

Objections don't show in the Edinburgh Gazette, luby, they are just sent to your trustee (if there are any!).

You are not officially protected until it is recorded on the Register of Insolvencies as such, which means that it will have to be a working day, usually a few days/week or so after the 5-week deadline

Hi luby

No objections have been received to date and to be honest, I don't expect any.

The proposal submitted fitted the criteria, with no issues.

Don't worry, it will be fine.
