Regarding your creditor list, mondayblues, it would be useful to have a breakdown of how much is owed to each individual creditor. The likes of nationwide and barclaycard have different criteria than most which could necessitate a longer term if they are owed enough to block protection for either of you.

If the firm you are seeing are still insisting on 4 years, then you need to get a second opinion. To be honest, I think you have too many variables to give you a definite answer without a full income & expenditure being done. I am also not too sure about this valuation as even you say it is very low. You cannot take the chance that there will be a full valuation carried out later and identify a large amount of equity - after you have signed!

As barclaycard and nationwide constitute more than a third of your debt mondayblues, then you may well find that your trust deed would have to run for more than 3 years to get protection
