Just had a look at the Register of Insolvency and my Discharge has been registered/approved by AIB today 19th June. ๐
Thanks a lot to all the experts here and contributor for all their help, understanding and support over the past three years. Happy days are here again. I will pop in back here every now and then to contribute and also learn how i can build back my life.
If I had known I would have signed up to the Trust deed back in 2009 when debt worries started instead of burying head in sand. Confirmation of discharge on its way and trustee to be discharge in a weeks time ๐
Cheers TDA, will do ๐
hi sigario i had seen one of your old posts long ago regarding a question of immigration, whether your trust deed will affect that or no.so now as you have completed your trust deed and you have been through all so how did you find it.did it affect your application for indefinite leave to remain or no
Thanks Kevin ๐
Hi ibmstyle,
No it did not affect my immigration. I got my indefinite leave to remain in Sept 2013 and was granted British citizenship on January 2015. ๐
You only need to worry about Bankruptcy, That's what would hinder your immigration application
It still intrigues me why bankruptcy is looked on differently to Trust Deeds in situations like these!
I've always found that the biggest difference is perception rather than any actual process difference. I suppose the Trust Deed is creditor driven and requires their agreement, whereas sequestration does not not.

Sigario what was your visa category before indefinite
