Hi, can you tell me how long the process usually takes to make a final settlement to a DAS once you have informed your MA. What type of correspondence do you recieved on completion? Thanks

I imagine it might vary a little depending upon who your money adviser is and who the payment distributor is. If you are settling the debts in full then the process shouldn't take more than a 2-3 weeks I'd have thought. You should then get formal written confirmation that you have successfully completed your DAS payment programme. A similar letter should also be sent to your creditors at the same time.

It is a quick process. Once you make payment to the Payments Distributor, payments should be made to creditors within 5 working days in accordance with the FCA's client money regulations.
Once the debt is paid, you will receive a letter concluding the das.
