Hello everyone,

I have recently paid a final lump sum payment towards my DAS which has now (at long last!) brought it to a close. I paid my last payment on the 6th June and my case is showing as Completed on the DASH portal. I was wondering if anyone knows what paperwork I should receive from my Money Advisor as so far all I have from them is a receipt for the payment. I was at least expecting some form of letter to say I have now completed the DAS? Unfortunately I cannot find the answer online.

Also how long should I expect to wait before credit files are updated by my creditors? I had in mind 3 months after the last payment before I start to see any of them with a 'Settled' or 'Partially Satisfied' status but was wondering if anyone has experience of this?

And finally, both myself and my husband still receive statements from a few of our creditors with outstanding balances that are quite a bit higher than what was agreed with our DAS, is this normal? I had just assumed that these were wrong and the fact that we have completed our DAS means they cannot demand any more money as they have signed up to the outstanding balance at the start of the DPP which is legally binding, hopefully I am right!

Morning

When a DAS is complete, it is the payments distributor that will notify the DAS Administrator, the continuing money advisor , the client and each creditor taking part in the programme. if any party of the plan has any enquires about the completion of the plan they should contact the DAS Administrator.

In terms of DAS, interest and charges are frozen when the DAS proposal goes live. I would send creditors a copy of the letter you eventually receive from the payments distributor.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply Sharon, do you have any idea how long this process usually takes?

Hi Bluerobin

Not sure regarding payment distributer but I would have thought it would have been sent within 30 days. I would perhaps give them a call.

If you are unsure about who your payment distributor is, you can search the DAS register and it will give you details including telephone number.

The das register is located at

https://services.aib.gov.uk/dasregister/
