Hi again folks.
Now that I have received my form 5 with closure just round the corner when I finally appear on the register of insolvencies, I wonder what my next move is.
I read somewhere I have to get in touch with my creditors, but what is it I tell them and even before I get that far, what department of these firms do I contact to make sure my enquiry gets dealt with promptly ?
I have been on to a couple of the sites, ie, Sainsburys Bank and MBNA but among all the contact addresses I don't see any that would deal with this particular enquiry and the last thing I want is for it to be lost in the wrong department.
I take it that I am asking them to bring my accounts up to date or something similar ? I seem to remember someone saying they will eventually be classed as being satisfied or partly satisfied, or something like that. Is the idea behind this to start to improve my credit rating ?

You dont have to get in touch with anyone unless they dont update your records. Most of mine sorted themselves. Make sure defaults are dated within a messagenth or so of your td starting,if not you may ask for these to be changed.

if you web search ico, list of data controllers, you should find any addresses that you need.

Hi A.D. I never had to contact anyone but I was maybe lucky, just keep an eye on it.

All the best.

Thanks fellas.
Quite glad I don't appear to have to do anything further. Actually looking forward to see things start to improve !

Hi AD

In Scotland the majority of creditors are dealt with by 2 companies who act on their behalf in accepting proposals, receiving dividends etc. it makes it a lot easier to deal with creditors as a whole, so when the trust deed is finalised, the accounts should all be updated.
