hi my trust deed started in august 2013 and ended in august 2017 so more than 5 years have passed since my trust deed started but my credit file is still showing my trust deed and debts related to trust deed as negatives on my credit file

Hi ibmstyle.

Are you looking for feedback about whether the content of your credit file is appropriate?

Anything that goes on your credit file will stay there for six years. I'd therefore expect the trust deed to fall off your credit report later this year.

Those dates next to each account; are they the dates that default notices were issued for each one?

All of this information should fall off after 6 years, ibmstyle. So not long to go now!

We can't answer that question ibmstyle. It's a question to put to a mortgage broker who understands what mortgage products are currently available.

In very general terms though, you may have more options once these default notices have fallen off your file later this year.

It looks as though the companies are reporting different dates on your file ranging from 8th August to 10th October. Assuming you signed the Trust Deed in August you should be contacting the companies to get them to alter the dates to the day the Trust Deed was signed. They will all fall off around the same time if you do. Looking at those dates it will be October before they do and probably won’t show on your. Credit file for att least another month after tha so will take you into November. It’s just a few months but if you are desperate to secure a mortgage sooner rather than later it could make all the difference. Best of luck.

It's a good point Black Night.

Depending upon circumstances and future plans, the effort might be worthwhile to get the post-August default notices backdated.

Hi ibmstyle.

You'd need to contact each of the lenders and request that they update the credit reference agencies.

See the default notices section on the following page for further information:

Hi,

It's probably best to email them so you have a copy of the request for them to update the information on your credit report.

An account number would help but hopefully they can find your account without it if you don't have it.

Hi emailed all creditors and no one replied except capital one and they phoned me and said that notice was received in october and then it was defaulted in november so that can only back date to october and not august
I told them trust deed started in august and it should be backdated to august but no they said it cant be and asked me that you can complain to financial ombudsmen service if you are not happy

Hi ibmstyle,

You may want to escalate this if you're unhappy with this response. You'd have every right to do this as the position they have stated is incorrect.

hi i escalated it to ICO but trust me this is immense pressure and big job to fix these as i was thinking these lenders would have all the correct record and are responsible lenders but they dont care if your credit file damages due to their fault.i have found another problem with zopa only that they even havent partially settled the debit after trust deed and are still giving me a default notice every month while all other lenders atleast showing partially settled.i emailed them and they said that we have the information from your trustee that your trust deed will end in september 2019 which is wrong and a lie as my trust deed ended in 2017.i have sent them proof and waiting.also i phoned experian who also sent request to all the lenders to update dates of default notices.still waiting.see below from zopa
