Hi,
can someone please advise me where I find creditor's addresses and correct dept's etc...in order for me to push them to update my credit file.
Was discharged in July this year but all debts are still showing 'defaulted' on my noodle credit file.
Thanks

Hi JanJan

I had the same question at one point, so will be happy to hear any replies you have. I did google searches and looked on the websites of the creditors to find either customer services, or card services or the best fit.

I then copied the entry from my credit reference (since I no longer had the account details) and wrote to them all on 4 October.

From 5 letters, so far ...
One (linked with Max Recovery) has replied to say they have it and looking into it.

Bank of Scotland have replied today giving me the correct address.

The rest may be ignored if I have sent to wrong address, although I asked in the letter for it to be passed to the appropriate department.

I hope you get them okay.

Hi Janjan.

I think you could make these requests to general customer service departments and let them pass them to other departments if necessary.

If you've reached the point of wishing to complain about a failure to update your credit file it might be the data protection teams that you wish to contact.

I know CreditExpert provides contact details for most of the lenders on your file. Does Noddle not do this?

The ico has a searchable database of data controllers. Wont post a link but search ico and data controllers.
