My trust deed is due to drop off my credit file in February. I tried the other day for a loan for a new car (much needed) and it was declined. All my current creditors are paid up to date and on time and have been since entering at TD. I only have a vanquis visa and a La Redoute account along with an Orange phone contract that is paid by direct debit. Will it take until after the TD disappears for me to be accepted?

Hi Lorryjo1983.

Lenders all have different acceptance criteria. This rejection may be down to a trust deed on your credit file, but it could easily be to do with something else. Another lender may be prepared to lend to you.

Paul is correct, once it's off your credit file its one extra thing in your favour.
