Thanks Plasticdaft - didn't even think to look there[:I]

Looks like I will need to wait another two years until my TD comes off.

I am still waiting to upgrade although the co op account that used to have benefits like mobile phone insurance has been withdrawn. I may have to jump to nationwide as there ยฃ10 a month account comes with decent benefits.

Any idea what their criteria is for qualifying? Had a week look there but couldn't see it on their site.

If you click on the bit for opening a new current account it asks if you are currently bankrupt or in an iva (english trust deed). Doesnt say have you ever been so might be worth giving it a go.

Still sats they credit check you though!

I really want to go for the nationwide flex plus account. Scared to apply in case they turn us down. Maybe wait till summer when td will drop off our credit files.

Happy enough with co op but their account upgrades arent competitive. Very few benefits etc.

It will be a while before I think about a proper current account, as my TD won't drop off till October 2015. Thankfully my defaults will be a bit before that.

If you go for it though, keep us posted. Be interested to see if you get it.
