Hiya all.. My trust deed was signed at the beginning of Sept 2010 and was protected without any problems.. Now comes the problem
I am still yep still even after 5 months getting calls from debt collectors for Halifax/BOS. I don't answer it as i have caller ID and then look up the number on the "Who Calls Me" website.
I have actually tried speaking to them at one point a few months ago.. and my trustee has also spoken to them as i have alerted her that the calls are continuing, tho not called her in the last few days.
What else can be done??? Getting very very tired of the calls at all hours of the day and evening on both home phone and mobile. Never mind the letters, which i have scanned and emailed to my trustee who says they are allowed to contact you and nothing she can do about that.
Anyone have any suggestions?????
Ta Much
Hi Amerififer
As a last resort you could threaten to report them for harrassment?
Please note however that under the provisions of the Consumer Credit Act 1974, creditors are required to provide debtors with an annual statement of account, regardless of any bankruptcy having taken place, so you may continue to receive statements, however they shouldn't be pursuing you for the debt.

Hiya TDA
According to whocallsme its one of the debt collection agencies that Halifax/BOS uses folks have said Scotcall, and Blair Oliver Scott so I'm not really sure.
One of the calls came in to my home phone at 842pm. Sheesh..
Blair Oliver Scott are actually an internal part of HBOS Amerififer so it's surprising if the message about your trust deed hasn't got through to them.
Perhaps your trust deed company could be persuaded to send a fax to any such company that is still calling you?
It might also be worth taking a couple of these calls to inform them of the trust deed and to guide them towards the Edinburgh Gazette record (which they'll be able to see online there and then) and to provide the details of your Trustee for future contact. I know it's a pain now, but might be best for you in the long term.
If they keep calling after that I'd agree with Julie that they're crossing the line towards harassment.
Don't worry about bringing this up again with your trustee Amerififer, it is their job to sort this out for you. Unfortunately for some reason it can sometimes take several calls/faxes before some creditors get the message! If someone is calling you make sure you ask for their name/number so that your trustee can be sure they are speaking to the right collection agency when sorting it out.
Thanks everyone for the advice.
It is sooo frustrating. Now Albion has as of today been added to the mix they have called and left messages on both my home phone and my mobile. I didn't answer and haven't called them back however I know its them as they said "this is Albion for .... please call back as soon as possible at .... number" Wasn't sure who Albion was but I really do love that site whocallsme as just entered the number and quickly found out that they do collections for Halifax/BOS. which is my biggest creditor. Sooo have not long called my Trustee to see what if anything she can do.. getting really tired of the calls.
