A bit of an odd one I hope someone can advise on.

I am 18 months into my trust deed and still get occasional contact from one of my creditors, and have just had contact from another one for the first time since my PTD was granted - both credit card companies and they were both included in my PTD.

As an example, from one of them I get a monthly email stating my statement is ready to view (although I cannot see it as they have blocked my login) and the other have just send me an automated SMS to tell me my new credit card has been sent to me as my old one has expired!

Is this normal or should I be concerned they are not paying attention to my PTD? My understanding of my PTD also is that I am not allowed get in touch with them.

Hi there and welcome to the forum. I wouldn't worry about this mcd1982, it is obviously just an admin blip on the part of the creditors. As long as you aren't receiving any demands for payment then I would just ignore them - I am sure they will stop once the trust deed is completed.

Hi Kevin, thanks for the quick reply. No demands for payment so I will just ignore them - thank you.

I would agree that this is nothing more than an admin issue, nevertheless still somewhat frustrating. It is a case of the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing. However, unless you start to recieve any demands/requests for payment then I would simply ignore it. On the basis that the one company has closed your online access to the account would suggest that particular company is aware of it.

If you really wanted to make sure that both companies were aware of it you could check with your Trustee that he/she has received claims from each of the companies concerned.

Hi Julie, thanks for that. It is frustrating and a bit confusing. I have previously confirmed with my Trustee that both these creditors have placed a claim (one especially as I had problems with them just before my TD became protected calling me for payment up to 25 times a day!!!).
