Does my trust deed company have the right to discuss my trust deed over the phone with a 3rd party?

I would rather not say as it's a bit embarrassing. It is an online retail organisation. Is there not a general rule re: privacy/disclosure of information?

There's aspects of a trustee's work that inevitably involve discussing matters with third parties gresgow.

The fact that you are in a Trust Deed is publicly available information, so there is no issue with privacy there. There may be issues if they are revealing other personal information without good reason though.
