Just a warning!
My Co-op bank account is being closed as I "misused" it! The third strike and you are out seems to be taken literally now (third strike wasn't my fault).
I now have an appointment with Barclays on Saturday to open up one of their basic accounts. I have explained that I am in a Trust Deed which, to their credit, they had heard of! I need to take my TD paperwork and usual forms of ID but they don't seem to think opening a new account will be a problem - I will let you know!
Hi Neverendingstory.
Co-op, who on the whole we believe offer a great service to clients that are in protected trust deeds, have long operated this "three strikes and you're out" policy. It's been discussed on here before. It's worth bearing in mind by other Co-op customers that are reading this who might accidently slip into an unauthorised overdraft from time to time. Co-op will not allow Cashminder clients to do that often without consequence.
Barclays should be fine. They're the only "big-name" bank that still offer bank accounts to undischarged bankrupts.
Thanks TDA - did try and fight my corner on the third strike (cancelled a direct debit on line, thinking it had gone through, it hadn't!)but unfortunately not. Barclays is closer to my work so might be better in the long run and their internet banking is up to date!
It seems Barclays are taking the right approach ie one based on common sense, as the other banks appear to be tightening their rules on Trust Deeds.
I'm sure it will be fine judging by other people's posts.

I had no idea the Co-op had that policy. Does anyone know if it is three strikes over any particular period of time or just any 3 times irrespective of how long passes between?
I have had my account for over 6 years. Only on one occasion by miscalculation I was in small overdraft for 24 hours. They wrote to me to say if I brought my account into credit by a certain date, they would not charge me. It was already in credit by the time I got the message and I was not charged. I was actually quite impressed by their approach to it, but I had no idea that that may be considered a 1st strike! Guess it pays to read the small print.
Glad you posted that. Thanks for the information. I don't intend to be in / over overdraft but it puts a new perspective on accidentally doing it.
Just a quick update
Went to Barclays today and new bank account set up without any problems... Apart from the "what's a Trust Deed"! My response "like an English IVA"!
Happy days....
