Hi , I'm new and hope this is an ok thing to post as feel a bit daft! I need some work clothes as I've lost a lot of weight over the first two years of the trust deed. It's great, but it's getting that I can't keep my trousers up with just a belt and the belts are too big now, have punctured all the extra holes I can lol. Am I allowed to order something from Next? I wouldn't use credit, I'd just pay straightaway or all the balance at the end of the month. I don't know what the rules are [xx(]thanks for your help everybody.

Welcome to the trust deed forum Backontrack and thank you for the useful information you added on the Scottish Hydro thread.

There's nothing stopping you from using credit during a trust deed. However, it's normally not a good idea and lenders may obviously not be prepared to offer credit.

In the back of my mind I remembered an old thread about a Next account without credit facilities. Unusually, I was able to find it pretty quickly!

It's here: http://www.trust-deed.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=983

I'm not sure whether the information is current though.

Yes you can have a next account without credit !! Why not buy vouchers from Morrisons for Next...say ยฃ50 you'll get 5p off every litre of fuel then you can use your gift voucher to pay the Next bill ???
Oh, & well done on the weight loss....any tips ??

What a great post. As TDA says there are no restrictions in the trust deed other than your credit report.

I might buy that bigger belt off you!

Haha, I'd take being a bit chubby over a trust deed any day! Mark - the belt might be a bit girly for you! Thanks for your help, everyone!

Well done on the weight loss, can I just say that the TD diet doesn't work for everyone ๐Ÿ™‚

My understanding is that there is nothing to stop you if you can getting credit in a TD, but the Trustees will not include repayments to any debts incurred after TD signed as part of your expenditure. That's my understanding, but according to my Trustees increases in income can be taken from them, but increases to other expenditure ie. rising fuel, gas, electricity and food are not taken into account. Yep plenty of lessons learned .........

Well...

Reasonable trustees will take into account changes in income and reasonable increases in expenditure.

I've been on my Trust Deed for about 18 months and still purchase occasionally from Next online as long as I pay with a debit card straighaway. I didnt expect to be allowed to as they were one of my original creditors, so I'm really grateful I can still use them in this way.[:I]
