Contacted five different insolvency law firms to get legal advice and defend against ANY ACTION THREATENED BY MY Trustee .
All of them came back and sorry there is a conflict as we have worked for your Trustee in the past .

Contacted another , but will not hear back until Monday . Very strange that Joe public , can not get help/ advice when needed .

If this happens again come Monday , I will ask the law society for advice , I understand about not biting the hand that feeds you , but some firms must be neutral out there ??.[:(!]

It is a pity that nobody appears willing to advise and defend. I wonder if you could approach one that doesn't specialise in insolvency but is willing to have a go.

Dare I say one of those no win no fee ambulance chasers. If they think you have even half a shout they may jump at the chance.

Hi pinalta.

Lawyers (and insolvency practitioners) have no option other than to check they're not conflicted before taking on a case.

I suppose with there being only so many insolvency specialist solicitors it's inevitable that some will be conflicted.

If you've got a case and money to pay their fee I'm sure you'll find a lawyer to take on your case soon enough.

It must feel like they are closing ranks, pinalta. I am sure that is not the case, it's just that the Scottish insolvency/legal community is quite a small world.

I think trust deed assistant is right, keep looking and you'll get there.
