My question is: I have come to the end of my trust deed but unfortunately I was paid off during the period of my trust deed and have been unable to make payments. My Trustee has written to me to inform me that he is going to contact my creditors to try and claim PPI back. Can he claim all my creditors whether they are included in my TD or not? I am aware that you can try to claim PPI back from the last 10 years and there are people in my past who have been fully paid off and so have nothing to do with my TD. Are they entitled to claim off of them to repay my current creditors?
Hi FabinFeb
It makes no difference if the debts were included in the Trust Deed or not, anthing that is due or may become due at any period before the discharge of the Trust Deed will come under the control of the Trustee.

Sorry, just to be clear. My mortgage which was paid off fully years before I entered into my Trust Deed is still subject to my Trustee claiming PPI?
When you say you haven't been able to make payments to the td how many have you actually made and what has your trustee said about this?

A new dawn.
Hello FabinFeb.
It's irrelevant whether or not the PPI relates to an account that is included in your trust deed (though I can understand why it might seem logical that this would be the case).
The point is that PPI claims (in general) are potentially an asset that could be used to help repay your creditors and to cover the costs of the service. Your trustee will therefore investigate the potential for any PPI claim to serve this purpose.
