I finished my T/D last october and my Car is on its way out. I now
need a car and would like any info regarding Leasing or obtaining finance.

I have been looking through this forum and found all different stories of success and failure.

If you have had success, could you post the company this was obtained from.

regards lee

Hello Lee.

Hopefully someone can make a suggestion to you based upon their experience.

Remember that because someone did or didn't get accepted it doesn't mean you'll get the same response. A recent trust deed might be one important factor in a lending decision but there are also plenty of others.

Hi lee

Unfortunately the majority of the posts on post trust deed finance seem to be in the negative.

I seem to remember one fairly recently though who may have obtained finance after being discharged. I'll have a wee dig about and hopefully can find it. Hopefully someone can post with any success stories.

Hi all
Everywhere turned us down but we got a car from a Scottish company who lease a car to you and you pay a final payment after say 2 years and its yours...i told them about trust deed and poor credit status etc but they said they make their own decisions as to who they lend to which is very unique in the car market i believe...as long as your on the voters roll and have full time employment your considered...many folk in my work have used them and service was good..anyhow we are delighted with our car and after 2 years we will have a ยฃ375 final payment to make and its ours...we pay ยฃ261 each month after trading in our old car with them...the car is a 61 plate...dont think im allowed to name the company but rest assured there is car help out there.

Hi littlemo.

You can name the company, we just ask that people don't post links in the forum.

I'm sure others would like to know who the firm is.

I think we used the same one as LittleMo - we got a car while still in the PTD and they were excellent - it's lease2buycars.com based in Irvine.

We have had no issues and have nearly paid off our Volvo estate in 30 months with a final lump sum payment due of just a few hundred pounds. The car has been fantastic, no issues at all.

I was so glad we found them.

Don't worry Bexter - easily done and you were only trying to help.

I've already done a sneaky edit - hope you don't mind!

Hey thanks TDA...yes it's leasetobuy in Irvine...obviously higher
rates but they are taking a higher risk I suppose than other dealerships...very straightforward app process....I must say much simpler than any pre trust dealings I've had with the big franchise car dealers...there is a growing market for this kind of self regulatory car dealership and I believe they have a great start ahead of any competitors due to their custom focused operation.
