I've been reading through some of the posts and am amazed at the different way companies handle things when the law should be the same for everyone.

I was referred to Mark's company and he personally come over to visit me and run through all the options. He then made sure all matters and options discussed were posted to me to review before proceeding.

I signed my Trust Deed on 16 April 2008, made my final payment on 22 March 2011 and was discharged from the Trust Deed on 29 April 2011. If I ever had any questions, I knew I could call Mark direct or Maria.

It was not an easy option, but turned out to be the best thing for me. I would urge anyone with financial difficulties to seek proper advice and make sure you sit down and look at all the pro's and cons and decide in your own time which option best suits you. Do your homework on which firm will do the best for you.

Welcome to the trust deed forum fraser8.

Congratulations on completing your trust deed. Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience which I'm sure will offer some encouragement to readers that are currently weighing up their options.

I think your advice makes a lot of sense.

Well done to Mark and his team for a job well done also.

Great to hear such positive feedback - that is how Trust Deeds should work. Well done to all parties.

Thanks for posting Fraser8. You're right about the variety of ways that insolvency practitioners deal with the same issues - all the more reason why people should take care when choosing a trustee, and ask plenty of questions.
