i currently have a Trust Deed but became ill so stupidly took out a few payday loans as im now living on SSP and wont go back to work for several months.is it possible to have a seperate dmp to deal with these debts running at the same time?i was told it was not possible by a debt charity, but if the dmp is run by an english company would theses rules still apply?i realise i cant add these debts to my existing Trust Deed.

Welcome to the forum tommy46.

I'll elaborate (!) on Candlewick's comments.

If you looked hard enough you'll probably find a DMP company that will "help" you.

However, what will you pay them? How will that be affordable when your spare money is going to your trust deed?

I suppose legally the answer is yes if the debts are incurred after the trust deed is signed. However as TDA says, on review there should be insufficient surplus to allow for the repayment.

I think your best bet is to explain the situation to your trustee and hopefully they will be flexible so that you can pay off these other debts. It is likely that you will have to extend the term of your trust deed to compensate though.

Did you not inform the trustee of your illness at the time?
