I`m just trying to workout if a trust deed is the route to go , my husband also has an account with them but he is in credit and doest owe them anything

My credit card with mortgage bank went into the trust deed. I would imagine it would be the same with an overdraft.

All that happened with the mortgage was a letter acknowledging the trust deed had been noted.

I was hoping that was the case , I have a bit of equity in my house and I wasn't sure if they would want to put my overdraft on the mortgage

thank you Bert

Are there any joints debts with hubby? The overdraft would be included in the trust deed and you would be expected to release your share of the equity for the benefit of creditors.

Talk to a couple of companies to discuss your options and make sure you fully understand everything before you sign up to anything.

As plasticdaft says, take care if you think there is equity in your property - you should definitely look to get written clarification of exactly what equity there is and how this will be dealt with by your chosen trustee before signing up. And you shouldn't be shy about speaking to more than one firm - this is an important decision after all.

Regarding your overdraft, this would be included in the trust deed, but you would need to have another bank account to use instead.

Best of luck.
