Firstly I would like to wish Kevin every success in whatever he is moving on to, for many of us on this forum who started our TD's with RSM Tenon he was a great source of information.
Since all the internal issues and changes within RSM Tenon, the sale to Baker Tilly and then Apex Debt Solutions popping up from nowhere, I have no faith or trust in my TD. There still has not been any communication from anyone regarding all these changes, my TD was set up through RSM's Glasgow office which no longer exists with Apex.
The Apex website which looks like its been created by a child shows 3 office addresses in Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Inverness. I phoned the one telephone number listed which is an 0330 number so you don't know here you're calling. I asked for a named contact and an e-mail address along with which office was now dealing with my TD.
No surprise but they couldn't find my details, I'm still paying my monthly contributions and have only 8 left to go but they are going to a named account of my original RSM's IP who left before all this kicked off. I'm still waiting for someone at Apex to get back to me, I appreciate all the changes that have taken place with the take over etc but how long does it take to send out a mail merge communication, people deserve to know what is happening.
Sorry rant over
AlphaB
AlphaB if it's any consolation and am sure it isn't, I am in the exact same position!! I have 7 months left, in some arrears but my best friend has offered to pay them, all I want to know is, is this acceptable? I have tried to get an answer on here but all I get is, you need to ask your to company.
I have done several times and now becoming incredibly frustrated! I am also very worried about the apex situation which is only fuelled by recent departures.
Their fees are far from insignificant, in return a timely response isn't too much to ask!
Hi AlphaB.
Don't worry too much about the change of insolvency practitioner acting as your trustee. There are general systems in place around the industry to ensure that someone remains in office consistently and that your money is protected.
If you have a specific issue you wish to discuss with someone there feel free to fill in the Contact TDA form (button in my signature) and I'll happily forward it to another contact we have at the firm for you. Hopefully that might help if it's required.
Hi AlphaB
Trust Deed appointments are personal to the Trustee appointed and funds etc and placed in Trust Accounts, so are not affected by changes/takeovers etc. I appreciate it must be really frustrating as the great unknown is usually the biggest problem with these things and I agree that a circular could easily have been sent to at least advise of the change.
I have no doubt the Trust Deed is running as normal and hopefully matters will settle and allow you a permanent point of contact.

Mark is not posting regularly in the Trust-deed.co.uk forum.
I set up my trust deed with the glasgow office of rsm tenon, i have recieved no information or nothing regarding office closure or new point of contact. Before it was nicola boyd who was brilliant always replied quickly etc. Who should i contact now for a change in circumstances etc.
Dont hold out much hope for trust deed running as smoothly now as a simple templated letter to all clients would have been a help.
Thanks

Thanks for that, still think its a bit crap we need to search online for a contact nearly 5 months after rsm tenon went into administration.
Your case didn't transfer to Apex for a fair while johnjo2014, meaning that they've been playing catch-up since.
I've a lot of sympathy regarding your views on the lack of contact, but I wouldn't necessarily assume that's a bad sign for the future.
Regarding lack of contact..I must say I find it rather disgraceful that those of us that were with RSM Tenon still have had NO contact to inform of all the changes and/or contact number.. All it would take is a quick email..
Surely that is not too much to ask from a professional company.
While I do understand that it does take time to change over things but surely it shouldn't be taking this long???
Does rather make one a bit insecure about the company that has taken over our trust deeds..
Just my opinion on the matter..
Another frustrated former RSM Tenon client.
Thanks tda again, maybe we will get someone sort of communication from them soon.
Hi there & sorry to jump on the thread. I had to contact Apex regarding a PPI issue. I had a successful claim for ยฃ3000 to then get told that the money was getting sent to Apex. I called them & spoke to the person that dealt with TD. She firstly couldn't find my case, but then when she found it & I explained the situation regarding the PPI she couldn't see that any money or cheques had been sent to them regarding this. She could tell me though that I wasn't entitled to it anyway. I have been discharged for over 2 years. My trustee still remains in office. I asked when they would be discharging themselves ? To be told there is no defined timescale.
Sorry pressed a button there. I thought heading into the 6 yr from signing my TD i would have things finalised. I know there must have been a lot of upheaval & stress for the RSM staff during the takeover but they have to understand the stress of everyone in a TD. A real lack of professionalism. Sorry if this offends anyone but it's just my view. Good luck everyone with your TD progress.
I made my last payment at the end of November but have heard literally nothing from Apex. Does anyone know when I can and should expect to hear from them and does anyone know if Nicola Boyd is still there?
Hi p boy kk.
Throughout the industry firms have had a really hard time discharging themselves over the past couple of years. They've had VAT and PPI issues foisted on them that they did not previously anticipate. This isn't an issue specific to this firm.
