Hi
I have found myself her after googling a company who i have had a meeting with regarding trust deed. I now believe them to be middle men and dont know if they are my best move.
The Company is called AMCG finacial solutions and when i googled them i got directed here, there was a thread in which a gentleman spoke of them trying to sell him life insurance also. They are doing the same thing with me altho it could prove a good thing as mu policy is not suiting me but my question is
are these guys just middle men and is it prudent for me to go with them?
Thanks for any input
Hi Madrone and welcome to the forum,
As far as I understand AMCG Financial Solutions are not Insolvency Practitioners and therefore cannot administer a Trust Deed on your behalf.
Can you give us an idea of your situation i.e. level of debt, employment status, what assets you have and how much you think you could afford to pay to a plan on a monthly basis.
You should go with whoever you feel most comfortable with and after exploring all of your options from a Trust Deed to a Debt Arrangement Scheme and also Sequestration. You need to ask loads of questions and speak with the person who will administer your Trust Deed or one of their staff. As always make sure you get everything in writing before you sign anything that way there will be no surprises.
If you can let us know a little bit more about your situation we can give you an idea of the suitable options.

Hi Madrone
I'm sure this company came up recently in a post. If you use the search facility, you should be able to find them.
It's not a company I have ever came across and they are not Insolvency Practitioners as far as I am aware.

Pick an expert on here. I can't shout that loudly enough. Had I done more research before the start of my trust deed, I'd have picked one of them.
Nothing left to discharge - everything's done and dusted!
Thanks for input
What other details would you need as i am not sure i feel comfortable posting them up in a forum?
Th gentleman who seen me walked away withmy signature but said he had to come back to run over other things before it could all go ahead, I know i should have done this research before now but i had been backed into a corner finacially by an outstanding coucil tax bill which i cannot pay and these guys just called at the right time.
welcome to the forum. What did you sign for? I mean are you aware of why your signature was needed? Why pay money to a middleman when you can approach an insolvency professional directly?
I used RSM tenon who are represented here but can safely say the rest of the bunch on here will all offer you a very well explained list of solutions to your problems.
Did this AMCG approach you or did you go to them?

A new dawn.
Hi madrone
To review, you would need list of creditors and amounts, rough income and expenditure details of any owned property and mortgage and details of any car or other assets.
This information should at least be able to provide a guide.

can it be rudimentary or do i need to be specific with you guys at this point?
thanks
If you look at the list of stuff on the left side of the screen, each of the experts has a profile. If you go on there, there's a contact button. You can click that and send a message that isn't public.
At the start of my trust deed, I'd have been mortified for anyone to see what I owed and to how many creditors. Now, I happily tell people if they ask.

thank you Gillian
this company are def a third party i have just been contacted ny phone by a company called knightbridge insolvency?
If you aren't tied to them, I'd look elsewhere. I don't know anything about the company but their website seems to be set up for IVA's. Going with a company represented on this forum means that you've got someone who works within the Scottish system.

The thread appears to be following the same as the previous one.
Irrespective of the parties involved, best advice is always speak directly and hopefully face to face with an IP firm and look at the pros & cons of all options. Then ensure all matters are confirmed in writing before doing anything.

I know it's a very private thing and to openly talk about it on a forum isn't ideal. If you feel comfortable enough you could let us know what assets you have and how much in total your debts are we can give you some suggestions.
Go with your instinct and don't be rushed into anything just because your having difficulties with council tax. Above all make sure you get everything in writing.

Were you being asked to pay a set-up fee, Madrone? There is no need to pay one when setting up a trust deed.
Also, were you given advice on all of your options? The Debt Arrangement Scheme may be suitable for example, and would give you the same protection from creditors (though not any debt write-off as in a trust deed). As the others have said, best to get advice from more than one source to make sure you are getting the full picture (if you haven't already! - sorry been on holiday so a bit late in responding).
