I'm 2 years into a trust deed which will be complete at the end of this year. However, I've just found out I'm pregnant and likely to be due in September. My maternity pay definitely won't be enough to cover the TD as I pay ยฃ700 per month to it. Has anyone been in this situation and can advise me if there's anything I can do without having to extend it?

Thanks [:)]

Firstly congratulations on the pregnancy. This really needs discussed with your trustee to find the best way forward. Do you intend going back to work after the baby is born? Clearly things will change financially for you both before and after the birth.
A payment break until you get back to work may be possible but this would involve extending you trust deed. Reduced payments for a while may be an option as well, but again this may involve extending your trust deed.

Have an informal chat with your trustee to iron out what your options are,I am sure something can be arranged.

Hi misspip,
Welcome to Trust deed.co.uk and also congratulation on your wonderful news.
I'm not an expert but i would say speak to the company you have your trust deed with and ask to speak to someone in contributions as they are the ones whom deal with the money going into your trust deed. Explain your situation and they will asses how this will change your circumstances in the future, there no guarantees they will make any chances but you can only speak to them about it and make them aware of things changing. They normally always ask for proof of change in circumstance before making any chances.

Hi Misspip, and congrats from me too.

As the others have said, it will be up to your trustee, but I think it is likely that you will have to pay off the last few months further down the line, ie extend the trust deed.
