My trust deed started in 2009 and ended in 2012. My partner and myself have rented since 2006 and have always been good tenants, paid rent on time etc. Unfortunately the owner of our present home has had a change in their circumstances and we need to move out end of next month. We saw a house we liked and applied for it , it is rented through an estate agents. All of our references have came back fine however as I had the trust deed this has flagged up on my credit check and they say I need a guarantor despite my partner's income being sufficient to cover the rent. As my partner only has one surviving parent with no savings the only person we can ask is my mother who also had a trust deed which she took out in 2006 and we believe this will not show on any credit report now. Can anyone advise if my mother will be passed as a guarantor? We have no one else who could help us and I am worried that despite both of us being in full time employment and our good references that we will lose this house and become homeless. Thanks

Nobody will be able to answer as we dont know whats on your mums credit file. If you can find out what agency they used to credit check you, get your mum to apply for a copy of her report to see if its clear. The Trust deed should be off but there maybe wrongly dated defaults lurking about.

Good luck.

Paul
