I have been thinking back about my lending and if I have ever had PPI on it. As far as I am concerned I have never had PPI on any present debts. The only time I can recall having PPI was on an old Halifax Credit Card. This card was cancelled and balance moved onto a new Halifax card in 2002 or 2003. That new card never had PPI on it.

Now I know that as part of my discharge in 3 years' time (yes I'm getting ahead of myself I know lol) A PPI check will be undertaken by RMS Tenon which I am comfortable with. When I entered the TD I said I have had no PPI to the best of my knowledge ever forgetting about this card from a long time ago.

My question is should I alert them to this so they know to look for it or should I not worry about it as its' a. told old on a closed card or b. they will pick it up in the process anyway?

I also had a joint personal load with my ex-wife secured on the matrimonial house. This load was cleared when we broke up with the balance being paid in 2004 / 2005. I do not think it has any PPI on it but am not 100% sure now I think back about it. If, when checked by RMS Tenon, they do find it had PPI how will this be arranged as I have limited contact with my Ex now and do not wish for her to know about the PTD although I appreciate she may need to be involved in a claim.

Any PPI investigations should be completed well before you are due to finish your trust deed, colski. As far what you need to let us know about, you will be asked these questions anyway.

There is no reason why your ex-wife would have to be informed of your trust deed even if there is a joint PPI reclaim can be made. As you say, she would be entitled to her half, but this should be able to be done without any reference to your trust deed.

My husband told out trustee he had no PPI as we didn't think we had, then a few weeks ago they came and told us that we had PPI on the Northern Rock mortgage. How bad for mis-selling is that? We didn't even actually know we had it and had been paying for it for almost 6yrs.
