Just spoke to a nice man at KPMG this morning. All of my payments have been made. All PPI investigations are complete and signed off. All assets have been realised (not that there were any!). I should receive a letter in the post in a few days instructing me to cancel my standing order and I should receive my form 5 two to three weeks later!

As long as they do just that I am one happy chappie!

3 and a half years, plus other attempts at DAS and a DMP means 10+ years struggling with debt are over!

[:D]

Glad that's over with....

Fantastic news upstream.

It sounds like the closure is being handled very efficiently.

I really hope so TDA. While it's great to hear that's the plan, I'm only too aware of people who've posted on here having the same promises only to see it drag on. Antibiotics I'm on mean I can't drink alcohol for a few days anyway so hopefully that letter will be with me around the same time the pills run out!

Glad that's over with....

Hi upstream

If they've confirmed it's all been finalised, then there should be no reason for any delay. It's usually PPI or other stuff which creates the delay as the trustee can get nervous discharging someone if there are still assets to be dealt with.

Hopefully it will be resolved quickly and in time for the antibiotics to kick in and clear up that big spotty face!!! Ha!

Cheek! Got a couple of bottles of nice champagne from the parents of the kids I teach to polish off once I get that letter. Unless the trustee wants them as an asset.....

Glad that's over with....

Just checked my entry on the AIB register and it has date of debtor's discharge as 7/7/14. Not had any thing in the post from KPMG yet but presuming that's it?? Done? Dusted? Can I open my champagne now??

Glad that's over with....

Get it open upstream!

The entry onto the Register of Insolvencies makes it official.

Woohoo! Been too wary to celebrate anything just in case! I know KPMG have had a some negative posts on here but I have had a very smooth TD with them.

A big thanks to everyone who posts advice on here. Lots of questions I had had already been asked by others and put my mind at ease many times.

Will let this all sink in over the next few weeks and set about tidying up that credit file. I cannot express how much of a sense of relief this is knowing there is no debt hanging over me. A TD might not be for everyone but now that I have reached the light at the end of the tunnel it feels amazing!

Glad that's over with....

Came home today to find my form 5 waiting for me. All previous correspondence from my trustee was met with nervousness, just in case.... This letter, however, was most welcome!!

Glad that's over with....
